Kids get a chance to do an art project, play at early learning stations, hear a story, sing songs, and get some energy out. Parents can pick up resources, diapers, and talk with other parents and Parent Educators from the Parents as Teachers program.

Grays Harbor County Public Health successfully completed our annual fire drill on August 25, 2026.
This year, we were honored to have a special guest join us, Kolby Lyle, Fire Service Specialist with the City of Aberdeen Fire Department. Kolby provided helpful feedback on our response time and evacuation procedures, ensuring we continue strengthening safety for our staff and community.
A big thank you to Kolby and to all our team members who participated. Staying prepared keeps us ready to serve Grays Harbor County when it matters most.

Grays Harbor County Public Health is hosting a Diaper Event in recognition of Diaper Awareness Week. This event is an opportunity for families to connect with onsite local agencies, learn about community resources, and receive support.
Free diapers and wipes will be available.

Grays Harbor County Public Health is partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Washington to expand site-based mentoring right here in our community!

Through this partnership, high school and middle school students at the following schools can now participate in the program:
• North Beach Jr/Sr High School

• Oakville Jr/Sr High School

• Hoquiam Middle & High School

Diaper insecurity is a working-family issue.
According to the NDBN Diaper Check 2026, 50% of families experiencing diaper insecurity have also struggled to afford food for themselves and/or their children.
When families cannot afford basic necessities, it can affect their health, stability, and ability to thrive. Supporting access to diapers is one way we can help strengthen families and build healthier communities.
