Happy Friday friends!! The butterflies have arrived and in the mornings when it’s cooler they are EVERYWHERE! The elephant ears like the heat we’ve had and are enormous!! The garden is still hanging on and giving us beauty despite the terrible heatwave we’re experiencing. Happy Labor Day to you all! Have a wonderful and safe weekend!

Happy Friday, friends!! The garden is still hanging in there! Fun fact, every few feet there’s a shady bench to sit at, and we now have several covered memorial tables to have a picnic! As a department, we’ve worked hard to ensure the garden is mobility-friendly so no matter your level of activity, you have a comfortable stroll. We have a lot of people say they drive by and love it from the street, however, it’s far more beautiful and can be appreciated in all its glory if you take 15 minutes and walk through! Have a wonderful weekend!!

Happy Friday, friends!! The garden is starting to not appreciate the extreme heat we’ve had recently, and Joy and I share the feeling! Thankfully we have cooler temperatures on the horizon, and there’s still time to come and enjoy this season’s flowers! We’ve also had our first Monarch butterfly sitings. We’re looking forward to their full arrival in the coming weeks! Have a great weekend!!

Happy Friday, friends! We have had many questions in the last week about why our grass has turned brown. We are excited to announce that we have received a donation from the Donald and Edwina Anderson Charitable Giving Fund held at the Community Foundation of Dickinson County, to install additional irrigation at the Rose Garden. Last year was the Step One of the project. This will complete the irrigation for the southeast side of the park. We can look forward to a beautiful green lawn in late fall. Thank you Eddee Anderson.
