This September, we invite you to celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month and discover how a FREE library card can hit all the right notes, no matter what your tastes are.

With a library card, you can do more than check out books. From streaming media and author talks to the Seed Savers Library and the Library of Things, we connect our community to information, inspiration, and each other.

There’s a seat in the front row at the library for you, and your library card is the ticket.

Stop by one of our libraries in Abingdon, Damascus, Glade Spring, Hayters Gap, or Mendota, Virginia to sign up for a library card. We’ll be all over the county signing people up this September.

This was the last night of quilting class. We are so impressed because these ladies have been at it since March. They worked HARD! A gigantic thank you to Kristina Morris for teaching the quilting class. We hope to display the quilts in the fall. Another class series is in the planning stages, but we do not have dates yet. The Washington County, Virginia Courthouse will remain closed until Monday, September 14, at 8:00 a.m. due to the results of environmental impact assessments conducted on the building.

We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding during this closure. Please continue to follow our page for any additional updates or changes.
