Our Story

The Abingdon Police Department currently has five (5) full-time police officers, including the Chief of Police, a Patrol Supervisor, Detective and Ordinance Officer. The Abingdon Police Department also has part-time police officers as well as an Auxiliary Police force. The Abingdon Chief of Police is Paul Cates as of April 1, 2019. Chief Cates will have office hours of Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm.
