Explore South Shore: Bring the family and explore Abington’s Beaver Brook Playground! This large, recently-renovated park features swings, slides, climbing structures, and sections for younger and older children. As playgrounds go, it’s relatively shaded, so this is a great spot to know in the summertime, when the adjacent school is not in session! There is also a small fishing pond and a secluded woodland trail along the Shumatuscacant River, part of the Taunton River watershed. Limited on-site parking on Ralph Hamlin Jr. Blvd.

Happy Friday! The next phase of the playground will begin in the next few weeks! Structures will include a large climbing structure in the 5-12 year section behind the swings, Gaga pit in the 5-12 section, and 2 more little houses in the 0-5 years section. One little house will be dedicated to the Abington Police & the other little house being dedicated to the Abington Fire. Also included will be 3 additional benches and some more plantings. Please be prepared for sections to be roped over while the installation occurs. Thank you! 💚

Just an FYI…. Needle Brothers Landscaping will be working on installing the brick walkway tomorrow in case anyone has the playground planned for the 1/2 day. Abington Fence may be there also working on installing the fence too! The playground will still be opened to play on, but please try to give them space so they can work their magic. Thank you!
