Congratulations to Glenside Fire Company member Sarah Devereaux who recently was sworn in to the Pennsylvania Air National Guard. This new opportunity will allow Sarah to not only serve her community but serve our nation while fulfilling a lifelong dream of military service.
Sarah, a mother of three, whose son also joined GFC, has been a volunteer firefighter with us for four years. She is the fourth member of Glenside who is actively serving in the military.

This weeks training focused on forcible entry. Members practiced using different tools and methods to improve their skills. Both power tools and simple hand tools play a part in our ability to gain access to buildings.

The 4th of July parade in Glenside has been moved up 15 minutes. We hope to see everyone there! Remember to do your best to stay cool in the hot temperatures and stay hydrated!

Last night, GFC’s newest interior-qualified firefighter Daud Ezell was recognized for passing Firefighter 1 and Hazardous Materials training through the Montgomery County Fire Academy. Daud was awarded a GFC front license plate and a new helmet shield signifying his status as a qualified firefighter. Congrats Daud!

We all know by now that it is going to be a VERY hot 4th of July, but we hope to see you along the parade route of at least one of the parades we will be attending. Please remember to hydrate throughout the day, and we hope the weather holds for one of the oldest parades in the country, the one and only Glenside 4th of July parade!

Well, we didn't forget our Birthday, we were just too busy to post for it, so Happy 126 years and 2 days to the Glenside Fire Company! May 17th (in this case, 19th) is truly a day for the entire community to celebrate. We would not be here without your continued support, so we want to give a big Thank You to all of our businesses who donated raffle items to our Bingo and Trivia nights, the runners and supporters of our Stop, Drop, and Run 5k, and, of course, all who contributed to our Fund Drive. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our Crew and Board members and to All of you for making it possible!

Come out and see us at Art Fest 2026, this Saturday, May 2nd, at Easton and Bickley Rd from 11am to 5pm. We will be selling hot dogs, pretzels, and the coldest water in Glenside!

Bingo Night Coming Soon!

On Saturday, May 2nd from 6:00PM-10:00PM, the Glenside Fire Company will be hosting Bingo Night! All proceeds benefit GFC.

The event will take place at the firehouse, located at 210 W. Glenside Ave, Glenside, PA 19038. Parking will be available across the street.

This is an adult BYO (food and drink) event (must be 21+). Games will start at 6:30PM. Daubers are included in ticket price.

All games are regular bingo - horizontal, vertical, diagonal (12 games total). There will be all different types of prizes for the winners. VIP bands may be used once, by the person who purchased it.

Extra games will be sold at the door for $10. There will also be 50/50 tickets sold and raffle baskets.
