This October, Edge Hill Fire Company is going pink! We will be selling Breast Cancer Awareness tshirts online and all proceeds will be donated to the Breathing Room Foundation! The Breathing Room Foundation helps local families affected by cancer. Tshirts will be available for purchase until September 17th. There is no shipping available for the shirts, and they must be picked up at the firehouse. The first pick up date will be October 12th at our Fire Prevention night. Impacts from will be felt well inland from the coast. 3-6" of rain, with locally higher amounts, is forecast for much of Delmarva and I-95 corridor and north/west, most of which will fall in a short period of time. Do not focus on the location of Tropical Storm Warnings for impacts.

The following areas are CLOSED due to downed powerlines and/or trees related to the high winds experienced on 2/24/19 and 2/25/19. Please avoid these areas and find alternative routes. As our area continues to experience high winds, please travel safely.

Abington Township has declared a SNOW EMERGENCY beginning at 6 AM on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 and ending on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 6 AM.

During this time parking on designated Snow Emergency Routes is prohibited to allow our plow operators to clear the streets in a safe and efficient manner. Cars parked on Snow Emergency Routes after 6 AM may be towed and impounded at the owner’s expense. Residents are also reminded to please clear your sidewalks of ice and snow within 24 hours of the end of the storm. If you have a fire hydrant on or near your property, please clear that as well. Please go to www.abington.org/snowroutes to view a list of emergency routes.

The National Weather Service has indicated that there is a potential for power outages with this storm. If you lose power, please report the outage directly to PECO at 1-800-841-4141. For your safety, please do not attempt to pick up or move any downed wires or move/drive around barricades.
