Penn State Abington Army ROTC

Penn State Abington Army ROTC Charlie Company The Freedom Battalion traces its history to the Cadets of the Pennsylvania Military College (1821-1972) and the Pioneer Battalion (1973-2005).

Widener University is the host with cadre also instructing at Villanova, West Chester, and Penn State-Abington Universities. Students at Neumann, Penn State-Brandywine, Cheyney, and Immaculata Universities also participate in ROTC through the Freedom Battalion. The Battalion Headquarters is located on the Widener University Chester Campus, at the rear entrance to Hanna Hall. Once on campus, please call (610) 499-4098 for guidance.

Hey everyone,

For those of you that remember Emmanuel Collazo please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Collazo was a member of PSU-A ROTC back around 2010. The other night he passed due to medical complications on his way home in the Abington area. We will never forget the early mornings at Penn State Abington sucking it up with him. He was a hard worker, PT stud, and a fun guy to be around. Hard to believe that this has happened to one of our own. I will try to find out funeral arrangements for you guys and have them posted as soon as possible. I don't have many answers yet but contact me if you have any questions.

Spring Field Training

On April 5th 2013 the cadets of the Dauntless Battalion arrived at Fort Dix for the spring FTX. During the course of the Day they engaged in events such as the Confidence Course, a short Ruck March and Land Navigation both day and night.
