This evening the Team was invited to where they have collaborated with again this year for their annual Fire Cadet Program. Tonight we were asked to provide a brief synopsis and demonstration of our disciplines and capabilities as a team and regional asset to the recruits in attendance.

Members who donated their time tonight assisted these recruits with rope rescue techniques specific to lowering and hauling systems as well as an overall inventory of our Structural Collapse Unit.

Yesterday, team members gathered at East Bridgewater Fire Department Headquarters to review and practice with search cameras and listening devices. These tools are vital in any collapse or confined space incidents to locate and communicate with victims who are trapped under debris for a long period of time.

Training for these high acuity but low frequency events enables our team to remain ready for any and all incidents. Thank you EBFD for hosting this month's training!

This morning the Team mustered at Headquarters where members trained on the Fire Department's radio tower. Members in attendance refreshed their skills on lead climbing techniques while rescuing a victim at height. Multiple evolutions were conducted and a multitude of teaching points were provided specific to varying strategies and tactics for successful extrication.

This real life scenario could happen anywhere across the county, as there are several radio towers and wind turbines that require frequent service or repair. Thank you to for hosting!

Yesterday morning the Team joined forces with our brothers and sisters from Brockton Fire to conduct joint training specific to heavy vehicle stabilization and movement.

This training focused on advanced heavy vehicle extrication, stabilization, lifting and rescue operations. Members of BFD as well as PCTRT were organized into squads to complete the evolutions. A multitude of challenges presented themselves with the orientation of the vehicles as it pertained to victim locations within the vehicles.

Special attention was given to stabilization of the vehicles prior to lifting, tactical decisions and extrication of the victims. Various rescue equipment was utilized between Brockton's Rescue and the cache from PCTR.

We are always grateful for these training opportunities which allows us to work with our members and departments within the county.

At approximately 0840 this morning, the Dive Team was requested by Marshfield Fire Department to mobilize manpower and resources for a vehicle that was submerged in the water at their Town Landing.

The vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the request, however our team is often requested to assist in the removal of submerged vehicles such as this one. During the mobilization, the response had been cancelled by Marshfield, as they had mitigated the incident prior to our arrival.
