Tours, trail rides, two museums, seasonal swimming pool and lessons, lodging, camping, group meeting & celebration facilities are available. Dinosaurs once walked the soggy wetlands that became the arid high desert of Ghost Ranch. Millions of years later Navajos and various other tribes roamed the valley. The Spaniards settled here and then came the cattle rustlers, the wranglers and the dudes. Ar

thur Pack, one of the country's first environmentalists, bought the ranch and sold a little piece of it to Georgia O'Keeffe. Scientists took respite time here from the stresses of building the nuclear bomb at Los Alamos. Famous guests have included Charles Lindbergh, Ansel Adams and John Wayne. Arthur Pack and his wife Phoebe gave the Ranch to the Presbyterian Church in 1955 and even though Georgia O'Keeffe wanted the ranch for herself she eventually became friends of the first director of Ghost Ranch, Jim Hall. Robin Wall Kimmerer, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Braiding Sweetgrass, returns to Ghost Ranch on September 5.

An Indigenous scientist and one of the most compelling voices on our relationship with the living world, Kimmerer invites us to ask: What if abundance was never meant to be hoarded, but shared, like a tree distributing its fruit to the whole community? 🍃

Two workshops, lunch, dinner, and a closing book signing and reception. Register for the day or immerse yourself longer with these concepts at the majestic landscapes of Ghost Ranch.

Consider this your reminder to notice.

To look at the cliffs. To see the light shift. To remember the land has been doing this long before us, and will do it long after.

Today, we pause. Not because a calendar tells us to, but because paying attention is how we say thank you.

If this place means something to you, consider making a gift today. Your support helps keep this land and its stories alive for generations to come. Link in bio.
