Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish To assist Acadia Parish law enforcement agencies by offering cash rewards for anonymous tips that help solve crimes and locate wanted criminals.

Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish was established July 2004. The program operates under the direction of a civilian board of directors. The board of directors is compiled of seven (7) members from various areas of Acadia Parish. Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish meets quarterly to review all business matters. Under the direction of the board of directors, Sheriff K.P. Gibson serves as the Director, ha

ndling day to day business for the organization. Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish was created with the goal of assisting Acadia Parish Law Enforcement agencies, by paying out cash rewards for information which leads to the arrest of violators of crime. Tipsters can call in information regarding a crime and if their information is used to make the arrest a cash payout is requested. Payouts are recommended to the board of directors once the information has been confirmed to have been utilized to solve the crime. A payout amount is decided based on the amount of information given, the type of crime and risk level imposed to obtain the information. Once a tip has been determined to have been used to make an arrest, payouts are usually made within 72 hours. Tips are paid by funds generated through court cost of violators of the law. There are no public funds utilized to support this program and all callers remain anonymous. On July 3rd, 2023, Tylon Washington who was 18 years of age, was senselessly murdered in an ambush style attack at the Kathy Apartment Complex just outside of Crowley. Multiple suspects fired shots at Washington as he approached one of the buildings within the complex.

We believe that there are people who have information about this case but are afraid to come forward. Crime Stoppers does not want to know your identity; we simply want your information to bring closure to this crime for Tylon and his family.

Detectives with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating a residential burglary that occurred in the 2300 block of Prairie Hayes Rd., in the Branch Community. It is believed this incident occurred on May 10, 2026, at approx. 3:00 a.m.

Unknown suspect(s) made a forced entry by breaking a window on the home. A vehicle of interest was observed at the residence and is described as a gray or silver pickup truck with large chrome rims. Five fi****ms were stolen including a Rock Island Arms 1911 .45 ca. semi-automatic handgun, .357 magnum revolver, Smith and Wesson .38 special snub-nose revolver, Sig Sauer 9mm semi-automatic handgun and a 12 ga. Youth model pump-action shotgun.

Savion Chavis is a black male, 20 years of age. He is 5’, 7” in height and weighs approx. 135 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. His last known address is 522 Joseph St., Church Point. Chavis is wanted for 8 counts of Principal to Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, Home Invasion and firearm charges.

Detectives with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating several vehicle burglaries that occurred in two areas of northern Acadia Parish. They occurred on April 16th and 17th, 2026, south of Eunice and on St. Margaret Rd., north of Church Point.

Multiple unknown suspects were captured on video surveillance pulling on door handles and entering unlocked vehicles. A homeowner pursued one suspect described as wearing a green sweatshirt, jeans and a face mask. Stolen items include fi****ms, purses, wallets and currency.

Suspects have been captured on video surveillance, however their identities are difficult to identify due to concealment of clothing. Crime Stoppers would like to remind you to remove your property from your vehicles and lock your doors.

Tremayne Butler is a black male, 21 years of age. He is 5’, 6” in height and weighs approx. 140 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. His last known address is 113 Gayle Dr., Church Point. Butler is wanted for Unauthorized Use of a Movable.

Detectives with the Crowley Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1500 block of North Ave. I. This incident occurred on April 6, 2026, at approximately 10:50 pm.

An unknown suspect fired multiple rounds at a vehicle occupied by two adults and 1 child. The child was the only victim that was struck and has since been released from the hospital. The suspect was believed to have been on foot when the shots were fired.

Detectives with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating multiple vehicle burglaries and an attempted vehicle burglary that occurred on Rue Dauphine, near the Acadia/St. Landry Parish line, south of Eunice. These incidences took place on April 3, 2026, at approx. 4:00 a.m.

Two suspects were captured on video surveillance pulling on door handles and entering vehicles. One suspect was described as an unknown male wearing a hooded jacket and gloves. One of the vehicles was locked, therefore not entered. The other vehicles were all unlocked and rummaged through. Items stolen include a brown bi-fold wallet, bank access cards and currency.

Detectives with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating the theft of a side-by-side from Allie Young Rd., near Basile. This incident occurred the night of March 10, 2026.

The stolen side-by-side is described as a 2016 Honda Pioneer 1000, white in color, with storage compartments built into the floorboard and 20-gallon sprayer on the rear of the vehicle. This loss is valued at over $27,000.

Detectives with the Rayne Police Department are investigating two incidents that occurred at the Rayne Flower Shop, located in the 900 block of The Blvd.

On December 25, 2025, two unknown suspects stole the delivery van from the business. One suspect was captured on video surveillance and is described as a black male wearing a camouflage jacket. The vehicle was recovered the next day.

On January 12, 2026, an unknown black male suspect was seen on video surveillance attempting to gain entry into the delivery van.
Law enforcement has not confirmed if these 2 cases are related to each other.

Video surveillance has images of two suspects involved in these incidences. ***** LOCATED ***** Payne Kalil Carriere is a black male, 30 years of age. He is 5’, 6” in height and weighs approx. 125 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. His last known address is 246 E. Minnix Aly, Church Point.

***** LOCATED ***** Jennifer Renee Miller is a white female, 42 years of age. She is 5’, 11” in height and weighs approx. 180 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Her last known address is 1008 Chanteberry Rd., Opelousas.

***** LOCATED ***** Corey Blane Soileaux is a white male, 32 years of age. He is 5’ 6” in height and weighs approx. 120 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. His last known address is 1020 Theo Dr., Rayne.
