Libraries are a constant in the community. On any given day, you may see a child enjoying a storytime or a reader finding their next favorite book. Libraries are a vital resource that has evolved over time, but to this day, they remain the cultural and informational heart of so many lives.
Las bibliotecas siempre son constantes para la comunidad. En un día cualquiera, se puede ver a un niño disfrutando de un cuenta cuentos o a un lector buscando su próximo libro favorito. Las bibliotecas son un recurso vital que ha ido evolucionando con el tiempo, pero hoy en día siguen siendo el corazón cultural e informativo de muchas vidas.
Prince George’s County is fortunate to have a diverse and active community. The Prince George’s County Memorial Library System’s doors are open to everyone, and we are dedicated to creating and maintaining an environment that respects and is inclusive of all people. PGCMLS takes pride in serving this community by offering a wide range of relevant programs, services, resources, and events, in addition to providing free access to thousands of print and digital collection materials. The role of public libraries is defined by this idea of access—access to information, primarily, and access to our library spaces, programs, and services.
El Condado de Prince George tiene la suerte de ser una comunidad diversa y activa. Las Bibliotecas de Prince George están abiertas para todos, y nos dedicamos a crear y mantener un ambiente que respete e incluya a todas las personas. Libraries provide a safe space and a third place for community members to engage in meaningful programs, access vital information, and be involved within their local communities. We want to ensure that the special, day-to-day moments that community members enjoy in our libraries do continue. PGCMLS is as committed to access as we are to our customers' privacy and experience within our branches.
