💙 Every day is another chance to brighten someone’s life.

Sometimes it’s a smile. Sometimes it’s a good conversation. Sometimes it’s simply showing up and being there when someone needs you.

At Visiting Angels Serving Western Middlesex and Northeast Worcester Counties, we see how those everyday moments can make a senior’s day a little brighter.

Here’s to starting the week by bringing a little more joy to someone else’s day. ☀️

103 years old and still doing life her way. 💙

We absolutely love this story out of Wisconsin!

Helen Dyer recently celebrated her 103rd birthday surrounded by friends and neighbors. A Marine Corps and Peace Corps veteran, world traveler and longtime Monona resident, Helen has lived in the same apartment for roughly 50 years.

And we especially loved seeing a familiar name in her story. 💙 Carol Keller from Visiting Angels in Madison, WI, visits Helen twice a week, takes her grocery shopping and helps her continue doing the things she enjoys.

At 103, Helen still cooks, bakes, cares for her plants and participates in a monthly book club.

Her advice after 103 years?

“Enjoy life and do what you want to do.”

We couldn't agree more. Happy 103rd Birthday, Helen! 🎂🎉

Read her incredible story below. 👇

💙 Still making the most of every day.

Living well looks different for everyone.

Maybe it’s getting outside on a beautiful day. Meeting a friend for lunch. Keeping up with a favorite hobby. Or simply enjoying the routines and comforts of home.

At Visiting Angels Serving Western Middlesex and Northeast Worcester Counties, our caregivers help seniors get the support they need while continuing to live life their way.

Because needing a little help shouldn’t mean giving up the things you enjoy.

From Auburn to the Appalachian Trail! 🥾⛰️

Longtime Visiting Angels caregiver Julie is taking on an incredible adventure, hiking the entire Appalachian Trail!

Along the way, she’s also raising money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association and other causes close to her heart.

We are cheering you on from Auburn, Julie!

Follow her journey on Instagram at .manycauses and see where the trail takes her next. 💙

Hands-on training means everyone gets involved! 💙

Visiting Angels recently hosted a Hoyer lift and transfer skills training at our Auburn office, bringing together caregivers from Visiting Angels Auburn, Gilford, and Acton.

Case Manager Maria B. was a great sport and stepped in as our “client,” giving caregivers the chance to practice transfer techniques firsthand.

We also caught Susan M. and Tina G. in action during the training!

A fun and valuable way to sharpen skills, ask questions, and build confidence together!
