During the August 10th Board meeting, former Commissioner Steve Stuntz, was publicly recognized for over 40 years of dedicated service to the community as a District Finance Committee member and Commissioner. During a private event, District Manager Matthew Mostoller presented an engraved chair and a State Senate citation from Senator Jamie Eldridge. This kind of commitment by Steve and others before him, has enabled the District to succesfully navigate challenges that many community water systems would not have endured. Thank you and enjoy your "retirement"!

A Water Main Break has occurred on Alcott Street, between the two ends of Emerson Drive, causing approximately 15 customers to have no water at all. Some customers may experience reduced water pressure, no water, or discolored water. We are onsite, working to repair the problem, however, two service lines need to be tapped as part ofteh repair. Still not enough to curb the conditions in the area. We will take the reduction in water demand that came with the rainfall as a temporary benefit. This provides a rare midsummer opportunity to perform maintenance on our hard working treatment systems.

There is currently a network outage that is affecting business line calls into the police and fire dispatch center. Our providers are working to get the issues fixed. In the meantime, please use 911 for all emergency calls as business line calls may drop. The 911 system is not experiencing any related problems.

The forecasted rain this week is welcomed but will not help the current conditions. Water use restriction level 4 is now in effect. This allows outdoor water use for the production of food, public health, and public safety. Visit our website for details and future updates.

Use extra caution driving through Kelley’s Corner as MassDoT’s contractor has been prepping for final paving by raising the utility structures up to meet the finish grade. Final paving is scheduled to start Wednesday night July 22nd into Thursday the 23rd. It will continue Monday the 27th and Tuesday the 28th if needed. Schedule is subject to change.
