🦟 WEST NILE VIRUS UPDATE — ACTON
The Town of Acton is currently at MODERATE risk for West Nile Virus (WNV). A mosquito sample collected in Acton has tested positive for WNV.
Please take a few simple steps to protect yourself and your family:
• Use EPA-registered mosquito repellent when outdoors.
• Wear long sleeves, long pants, and socks when possible.
• Avoid outdoor activities between dusk and dawn, when mosquitoes are most active.
• Empty standing water from buckets, flowerpots, children's pools, birdbaths, gutters, and other containers around your property.
• Repair holes in window and door screens.
