Clark Creek Elementary

Congratulations to Clark Creek Elementary and our Literacy Coach, Tanya Bradley that were selected for a $2,500 impact grant from the Cherokee County Education Foundation to purchase new classroom library books in 4th and 5th grade!

Reading across Clark Creek is growing and this grant will help us strengthen our 4th and 5th grade classroom libraries by adding more high-interest, high-quality books across a wide range of reading levels, genres, topics, and student interests. Aligning with our school reading initiatives, students will have even more opportunities to build reading stamina, fluency, vocabulary, background knowledge, and comprehension through authentic reading experiences.

A huge THANK YOU to the Cherokee County GA School District and the Impact Grant program for investing in our students and supporting our commitment to literacy!

🚌💛 Happy Bus Driver Appreciation Day! 💛🚌

Our bus drivers do so much more than get our students from point A to point B! They start their mornings early, greet our students with a smile, and make safety a priority every single day. We are so thankful for the patience, care, and dedication they show our RedHawks each day!

Take a peek at what some of our students said about their bus drivers!

Help us give a BIG shoutout to the amazing drivers who help get our students to school and back home safely! ❤️🖤

We appreciate you more than you know! 🚌✨

We will hold our first-ever parent-teacher conference early release days at our elementary schools next week. Safety is our priority, and we ask for everyone's patience as we adjust schedules. On Tuesday, Oct. 13, through Friday, Oct. 16, all of our elementary schools will dismiss early at 11:30 a.m. with school buses running routes at that time. Our school buses will not run 2:15 p.m. afternoon routes for elementary schools. There will be car rider traffic at our elementary schools at both 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. (parents need to come in to the school to check-out at 2:15 p.m.) Dismissal will be on a regular schedule at our middle and high schools. Monday, Oct. 12, is a school holiday for all students; it is a planning day for teachers.
