🌳Learn more about trees and the right-of-way with Acworth Power! 🌳⚡

Did you know that Acworth has a full-time contracted crew for right-of-way maintenance along Acworth Power lines? Right-of-way distance varies, and this professional team helps keep our right-of-way clear of obstructions up to 15 feet on either side of our power lines.

Many power outages are actually the result of large trees or limbs from private property outside of the right-of-way falling onto lines. That's why tree maintenance is an important aspect of the community working together to help prevent the risk of power outages. Not all outages are preventable, and healthy trees and weather can cause power lines to become damaged too, but the city's efforts to keep the right-of-way clear alongside property owner efforts with tree maintenance can help us keep the lights on.

Why is tree maintenance important? First and foremost, it's the safety of you and your loved ones as well as our lineworkers. It's also important because it helps prevent avoidable outages. The other big reason? Property damage prevention. Proper tree maintenance reduces the risk of costly damage to you or your neighbors' property.

**NOTICE OF PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE**

In the course of visual inspections, the power team has identified a need for preventative maintenance on a line. Due to this maintenance, customers in the area shown in the image below may experience a brief 5-10 minute outage within the next 2 hours.

Circuit 2872 is restored. Crews are working to restore the outages affecting Lemon Street Extension and Garden Circle.
