I am happy to announce that we are on schedule to open the pool tomorrow!!! This wouldn't be possible without the hard work and dedication of Joe Hefner and Mike Steele. Both employees were called out to a water leak around 1am on Friday. They repaired the leak which took roughly 8 hours. Joe and Mike then continued on working through the day to ensure the pool was prepped and cleaned to be filled. I would also like to thank Alex Fields from our Water department and Michele Chambers for pitching in and assisting Joe and Mike.

Today our pool staff is stocking the concession stand with delicious treats and ensuring everything is ready for opening day. We plan on having our first night swim tomorrow night. As a reminder our night swim capacity is capped at 300 patrons. The doors open at 8pm and will remain open until 8:45pm, at which time we will close the doors, and we will not admit any more patrons. If you leave the pool you will not be able to re-enter.

If you purchased a pool pass and have not yet submitted your photo/photos please do so as soon as possible to: [email protected]. Pool passes will be available for purchase until June 12th. All pool passes and pool rentals can be purchased at the Municipal building located at 115 W. Buckeye Ave.

We plan on having different events at the pool this summer so be sure to check back on this page for updates!

As part of our annual water maintenance program, Public Works employees will be flushing fire hydrants starting June 8, 2026 to July 8, 2026 between the hours of 7:30am-4:30pm. We will start with N.W. Ada first (Zone A), then N.E. (Zone B), then S.E. (Zone C) and finish up with the S.W. (Zone D).

Because water mains are typically looped together, you may notice that your service pressure is affected even if hydrants are being flushed several blocks away.

During the flushing process, there may be a slight discoloration of the water caused by sediment or rust being flushed from the water mains. If you do experience discoloration in your water service, please don't be alarmed. Your water will clear up once it is run for a short time. Should you experience rusty colored water, we suggest you run the cold water from the faucet nearest to the water meter (laundry tub, outside faucet) to flush the service, We suggest that on days we flush, you may not want to do laundry during the hours listed above. Possible discoloration in the water can stain light colored clothing.

Please note that your water is safe for all other uses and that slightly higher amounts of chlorine are added to the system during maintenance.

The Village performs annual flushing of hydrants for several reasons which includes:

Safety - to insure proper operation of each hydrant.

To clean out rust and sediment that may settle naturally in the system piping.

To exercise the hydrants and to do preventative maintenance.

If you have any questions regarding this procedure or if you would like to know where we are in the Village, please call our office at 419-634-4045.

Thank you for your cooperation.
