To support our tribe’s commitment to community safety, Chickasaw Nation Emergency Management (CNEM) was established in 2017, with a mission to provide a comprehensive and integrated system to help save lives, prevent injuries, safeguard property and preserve cultural and economic resources.

Since establishing CNEM, we have continued to invest in their growth and overall ability to assist citizens in times of need and support our neighbors with disaster response and relief efforts. Among our most important investments has been the construction of a dedicated Emergency Operations Facility (EOF) and continued focus on fostering partnerships with other emergency management agencies.

CNEM continually works to coordinate with local, state and federal disaster relief and public safety entities, both within and outside the Chickasaw Nation, to plan, prepare and respond to natural disasters and other catastrophic events. The EOF makes the coordination and response process more efficient and effective.

As we continue working to protect our citizens and communities, we give thanks to the hardworking members of the Chickasaw Nation Emergency Management team and the many partners who share our belief that we are stronger, better equipped and more prepared when we work together.
