We were very happy to be able to participate in yesterday's Pittsfield July 4th Parade with our antique parade cart. As part of our 150th year anniversary, the Alerts sent the 1886 cart to the Williamstown Art Conservation Center for repairs and stabilization and secured a new double axle trailer to more safely transport the antique to events. Yesterday marked the debut of the new trailer and the return of the "Pride of the Alerts" to parade duty. While we still have more work to be done on the Rumsey cart, it was so satisfying to see her back out there bringing smiles to those who see her.

Although the recent snow flurries and temperature drops don't reflect it - spring is here and as such, the Alerts have gotten our firefighter's memorial at Bellevue Cemetery ready by putting up our flags and lights so they can honor our deceased members day and night.
