A group of our 8th and 10th graders spent the day at the MassMutual Center for the regional DESE Civics Project Showcase. This event is a "science fair-style" setup where students get the opportunity to share their civics projects with local community advisors and peers, receive feedback on their work, and be recognized for their civic engagement.

Our students tackled some really big, important topics.

At Berkshire Arts and Technology (BART) Charter Public School, we talk a lot about finding your voice and building real-world confidence, and seeing our middle and high schoolers stand up and present their ideas today was awesome.

Our 8th and 10th graders spent the day in Springfield at the MassMutual Center for the regional DESE Civics Project Showcase.

Think science fair, but focused entirely on community action and real-world change. They presented their own research on things they care about—like the environment, mental health, and educational equity—to a room full of community advisors and students from all over the region. 🏛️🌱

It has been a record-breaking, stage-shaking, travel-filled kind of season for us. We just put together a look back at a few of our achievements over the last few months, and the energy is incredible.

From packing the room for Get BART Smart, to a spectacular 5-show run of Legally Blonde at The Adams Theater and college trips across the region, our Wolfpack family has been busy!

This Memorial Day, the BART community pauses to honor and remember those who gave everything in service to our country. We are incredibly grateful for their selflessness, and our thoughts are with the families who carry their memory forward.

Our students got some incredible hands-on life skills training recently, learning how to safely jack up a car and change a tire. A huge thank you to the master mechanics who visited BART to share their expertise and time with our kids.

We love seeing our students jump right in, get their hands dirty. We are so proud of their curiosity and readiness to learn skills that will serve them long after graduation.

This year's Prom theme is Royal Masquerade.
The event will be held on Saturday, May 30 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at The Norad Mill in North Adams.

Please help us remind the students that formal attire is required for the evening. Thank you for your help in making this an unforgettable night for them! 🎟️👑

Sometimes the best reminders of who we are are the smallest ones. Sitting right on a desk in our building are three rocks painted with College, Art, and Tech. (Don’t judge, our communications staff isn’t an artist 😅)
They aren't just decorations. They are a daily, tangible reminders of who we are and what we value. They represent our commitment to helping our students create, innovate, and build their futures.
We’re incredibly grateful to the Massachusetts Charter Public School Association (MCPSA) for their steady support and advocacy, which helps us keep this mission alive and well every single day.
