The tent is being set up and decorated for this weekend's Oktoberfest ... and it's going to be even bigger than last year! Come to the Village Green for two days filled with German food, seasonal b**r, live music, family-friendly fun, and giveaways!

The Addison Historical Museum will also be open with activities for children, including a root b**r garden, free glow-in-the-dark drinkware, face painting, balloon art, and story tellers.

Live music by Flau Blucher's Musik Meisters plus DJ Chicken Wang.

Friday, October 16 from 5 to 10 p.m.
Saturday, October 17 from 3 to 10 p.m.

SAVE THE DATE! You are cordially invited to the 35th Annual Mayor's Community Charity Ball, coming up on Saturday, November 7 at Medinah Banquets!

The Mayor's Community Charity Ball is a unique, cooperative fundraiser that brings together 14 Addison-based charities and service organizations to reach one goal ... make a difference in our community!
Participating charities include: Addison Township Food Pantry, Addison Business Exchange, Addison Center for the Arts, Americans of Italian Descent, Chicagoland Veterans Campus, Addison School District 4 Foundation for Educational Excellence, District 88 Foundation, Good Samaritan United Methodist Church of Addison, Kiwanis Club of Addison, IL, Knights of Columbus CL 650 Addison,
Medinah Shriners, St. Philip the Apostle School, SCARCE, and Addison Sister Cities

Every dollar raised will benefit some in Addison.

The night will include dinner, an open bar, dancing and entertainment, as well as cash raffle and silent auction.

TONIGHT!!

After taking the summer off, the Addison Historical Society and Addison Public Library are pleased to resume our free historical public programming. On Thursday, September 17th, we will host Barbara J. Barrett and her program, "Driving Forces: 100+ Years of Women Influencing, Buying, Designing, and Driving Automobiles." Learn about early female automotive pioneers, and their impact on national history.

The program is free to the public, but pre-registration is required. Please visit addisonlibrary.org/events to register.
