The Addison Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank our amazing community for making our Memorial Day Chicken BBQ another great success! Your support means more to us than you know, and we truly appreciate everyone who came out to enjoy a meal and support the department.

We would also like to give a special thank you to the American Legion for allowing us to use their pit. We appreciate the continued support and partnership!

Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our country. Their sacrifice gave us the freedoms we enjoy every day — freedoms we should never take for granted.

From all of us at the Addison Volunteer Fire Department, we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as the families who carry their memory forward.

This Memorial Day, may we remember the true meaning of the day — not just the long weekend, but the courage, service, and sacrifice of America’s heroes.
