Today, Addison Township was honored to host the offices of Senator Tammy Duckworth and State Representative Norma Hernandez -- this amazing opportunity provided residents with direct contact with their Federal and State representatives. During that time, Addison Township Supervisor Bobby Hernandez discussed new and exciting ways with the Senator's and Representative's office to further provide services to Addison Township residents in need.

Before the hours were held, the hardworking Supervisor's staff, Addison Township Clerk Maria Vesey, and dedicated volunteers provided food and other necessary items to residents at our Addison Township Community Market.

We want to extend a special thanks to our volunteers, as shown in the second picture below: Dr. Maria Sinkule, Marianne Grobe, and Maggie Lovell.

The Community Market is open every Wednesday from 9:30 am to 10:30am.

LOOK OUT, ADDISON TOWNSHIP!

Here is what we have going on tomorrow, June 11th, at your local Addison Township:

Our Addison Township Community Food Pantry will hold regular hours from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.

After the pantry concludes, Addison Township will host satellite office hours from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm for Senator Tammy Duckworth and State Representative Norma Hernandez (District 77) in the Addison Township Event Center — enter through Door 8.

Finally, this exciting day will conclude at 6 pm with the inaugural meeting of the new Addison Township Board of Trustees in the Addison Township Event Center.

Tomorrow is a shining example of how we at Addison Township are committed to bringing services and resources you deserve to the community you call home.

On June 11th from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Addison Township Supervisor Bobby Hernandez is pleased to announce that the offices of U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth and State Representative Norma Hernandez (District 77) will hold Satellite Office Hours at the Addison Township Event Center, accessible through door 8.

Residents will have the opportunity to access federal and state resources without the need for an appointment! This fantastic initiative brings valuable services right to our community.

Next week, on June 11th at 6 PM, the new Addison Township Supervisor, Bobby Hernandez, along with the Board of Trustees, will host their inaugural meeting, marking the first step in Addison Township’s exciting next journey. We warmly invite all community members of Addison Township to join us and be part of this important milestone in our history.

This is a reminder of the Addison Township Community Food Pantry's operating schedule for June.

We are open for food pickup this Wednesday, June 4th, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am for all pre-registered participants.

If you reside in Addison Township and your family or household is currently in need of food assistance, visit our township office to pre-register by confirming your Addison Township residency.

In 1868, on the first Memorial Day, established to honor the fallen men and women of the Civil War, Brevet Lieut.-Col Edmund B. Whitman made known that a “nation which respects and honors its dead, shall ever be respected and honored itself.”

156 years later, Americans still uphold this solemnity to honor and mourn our fallen, thank those families that carry the burden of loss, and reflect on the sacrifice of the fallen brave who perished to protect our freedoms.

We at Addison Township do not take their sacrifice for granted. We bow our heads today for those noble men and women who fell for our nation’s freedoms and principles to endure. To those who have fallen: Thank you. You will always be remembered.
