Addison Township was proud to participate in yesterday’s Addison-Medinah Shriners Parade! 🇺🇸

This year’s theme, “America@250: Let Freedom Ring!” celebrated our nation’s 250th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of the Addison Historical Society.

It was wonderful to join so many local organizations, performers and residents for this cherished community tradition while helping raise awareness for Shriners Children’s.

Thank you to the Medinah Shriners, Village of Addison and everyone who helped make the parade such a memorable celebration!

What an incredible turnout for the Addison Park District’s Re-Grand Opening of Community Park!

Addison Township served 600 hot dogs and bottles of water—and ran out! Our Director of Highways, Michael Capizzano, who also serves as Chair of the Park District Board, was our grill master for the evening. A special thank-you to the Mayor of Village of Addison for stepping in to help us keep everyone fed!

At our Human Services table, we also distributed more than 200 toys through our Community Resource Passport activity.

Thank you to the Addison Park District for hosting such a wonderful community celebration. We were thrilled to be part of it! 🌭🎉☀️

📢 Grant Applications Are Now Open!

The Addison Township Mental Health Board is now accepting applications for its 2027 Contract for Services funding cycle.
Funding is available to eligible nonprofit organizations and government entities providing services that benefit Addison Township residents in the following areas:

🧠 Mental Health
💙 Developmental Disabilities
💜 Substance Use

Applications must be submitted by August 31, 2026.

Last week, Addison Township was proud to partner with Bensenville School District 2 for their Back-to-School event at Regent’s Park Apartments! Our Food Pantry team brought the pantry directly into the community with a mobile food distribution, providing families with fresh food and pantry staples while they prepared for the new school year. 🥕🍎🥫

It was a wonderful opportunity to welcome local businesses and community leaders, showcase our newly renovated spaces, provide a tour of the food pantry, and share more about the many services available to Township residents.
