Fine Followers of the Town of Addison Police Department, once again we need your help! These are dark and troubling times for all. An invisible terror has forced us all to tolerate our spouses and children for what seems like an eternity! Empty wine bottles fill recycle bins, and cupboards are bare! Be that as it may, there is still no excuse for unacceptable behavior! Law and Order Must Prevail!!! Below are the images of who many may refer to as a most dastardly character who moves through life without regard to his actions, the hurt feelings of others, and fears no consequences! The man wearing the white long sleeve shirt, pants that appear to have lost a battle with a bucket of stones, and totally sick ensemble completing white shoes is the most fearless of all! Notice how he casually strolls among the snacks, eyeing the sodium filled goodness, and longing for the empty carbs!!!!! The Snacks tremor in his presence! They feel slightly disgusted as his shifty eyes play among their display cases. They can feel the Snack Pack Bandit unwrapping them with his eyes, as a deep hunger that can never be satiated plagues his gullet! They hear the rumbling of his belly, they catch a glint of light reflecting off the drool that has pooled at the corner of his mouth as the reaches out and grabs a few snacks only to hide them away, and leave without paying!!!!! The store clerk frantically calls in disbelief after the Snack Pack Bandit, demanding he come back and pay the $14.25 he owes! The Snacks know all is lost. They feel illegitimate, knowing they were taken, never to fulfill their mission of bringing happiness to a well paying customer. The Snack Pack Bandit makes his getaway in an unknown direction, never to be seen again until the insatiable lust for Salami Snacks, Cinnamon Crunch Cereal Bars, and 7-11 Salad Sammaches returns!!! If you recognize the Snack Pack Bandit, contact Det. R McCafferty ([email protected]) with haste! Together, we can bring these stolen snacks who were robbed the dignity of a legitimate sale a little Class C Misdemeanor Justice!

This is a long post... skip about halfway down if you are in a hurry.
Alright guys, listen up!
These are troubling times. Many of you (and a few of us) are stuck at home working from makeshift home offices, kitchen tables or any flat surface we can find that will sufficiently hold a laptop and a plethora of snacks.
We've been cooped up in our homes for what feels like all of eternity. Our sense of purpose is dwindling and the lack of social interaction is driving us to the point that we are actually looking forward to going back to work. We dream of a time that feels long past. A time when we didn't have to actually interact with that metal cube in the kitchen known as an oven or the hot flat surface known as a stove that keeps burning us long after we've turned it off. We are becoming pioneers in the Culinary Arts by pushing the limits of that magical box of charged particles known as a Microwave. Watching in delight as we pack it full of pizza pockets, hot dogs, or the occasional bowl of sliced cheese and salsa in an desperate attempt to replicate that melted cheesy goodness from our favorite Mexican Restaurant, only to have that concoction of cheesy salsa explode in a colorful paste that completely wallpapers the inside of the microwave leaving a mess on such a grand scale that our significant other can only stare at you in dumbfounded disbelief. OK, maybe that is just at my house.... oh man, I miss good Queso!
Anyway, We need Your help. Recently, two college age men driving a white pickup truck contacted a resident about trimming a tree in their backyard. They used the rouse of needing to trim a tree which was too close to a power line easement. As one of the individuals distracted the resident by luring them from the house, the other entered the residence through the front door, and went on a jewelry shopping spree. Luckily, no one was hurt.
Please keep your eyes open for any suspicious vehicles or persons in your neighborhood. We all know who is normally in our neighborhood, what service vehicles are normally driving through, and what vehicles come and go. If someone is trying to get you to leave the house, or lure you to the back or side of the house, take caution. There are a lot of bad guys out there who are trying to take advantage of people. These two men were in a white pickup truck of unknown make and model. The man who spoke to the victim is of Hispanic descent, about 5'6" with a thin build. The victim did not see enough of the other male to get any kind of description.
Remember, if You See Something, Say Something.
Be Safe, Wash Your Hands, Stop buying up ALL the toilet paper, and Stay Strong! The Social Distancing Order will come to an end, and we can go back to visiting our favorite restaurants allowing our microwaves time to recuperate!

Town of Addison

Today, Dallas County announced that restaurants (with or without drive-in or drive-through services) and microbreweries, micro-distilleries, or wineries may only provide take out, delivery, or drive-through services as allowed by law. What this means is that restaurants will not be able to allow patrons to dine in their establishments. The County is also requiring that bars, lounges, taverns, or arcades and private clubs close until the order expires. Lastly it is reducing the threshold for community gatherings from 500 to 50.

This amended order goes into effect at 11:59 pm on March 16 and will remain in effect until 11am on March 20.

Because Addison is in Dallas County, this order extends to all Addison gatherings and establishments. The Town of Addison is deeply concerned about the global spreading of illness caused by COVID-19. As a good community partner, we want to do what we can to help prevent and control this contagious illness.

The holiday season is upon us. If you had Santa's Heroes in mind for your donation, here is another way to contribute. These donations will help buy clothing and personal items for children in need this holiday season.
Apart from our Santa's Heroes event, our heroes identify families in need within our community and deliver a Santa bag for each child with toys, clothing and personal care items they may need. Thank you for considering this part of the program.

The Addison Police Association is accepting gift cards to Target and checks for this part of the program. You can drop off your donation inside the Police and Courts building in the drop box below.
*Please see attached post*

It’s that time of year again, from all of us at the Addison Police Association we want to wish everyone the happiest of holidays. To ensure that everyone has an enjoyable experience during this holiday season, the Addison Police Association is teaming up with Santa’s Hero’s and we are asking you to donate and help out families in need in the Addison community. Donations can be made in the form of Target gift cards, or by check made out to the Addison Police Association. Please place your gift card or check inside an envelope and address it to the Addison Police Association in order to ensure it reaches the proper hands. You will find the drop box inside the Addison Police Department lobby. Once you walk through the main doors into the lobby, turn left and you’ll see a drop box on your right hand side with our Santa’s Hero’s logo next to it. The Addison Police Association thanks you for your participation. Happy Holidays!
