NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village of Addison Board of Trustees will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Addison Village Hall, 35 Tuscarora Street, Addison, NY 14801.

Upon covering in open session, the Board anticipates entering into an executive session for the purpose of discussing matters relating to the employment history of a particular person or persons, or matters leading to the appointment, employment, promotion, demotion, discipline, suspension, dismissal, or removal of a particular person or persons, as permitted by the New York State Open Meeting Law.

Stop down and visit the Steuben County Veggie Van. This is a little farmer's market setup that gets produce from local farmers. Setup is at 21 Community Drive in the Village on Wednesdays from 4pm to 6pm

We are receiving reports of signs and symptoms of Measles in the Southern part of Steuben County. There was a recent case in Allegany and this may be a related case.
Early symptoms typically appear 7 to 14 days after exposure and include:
High Fever (often rising above 101 degrees F)
Cough
Runny nose (coryza)
Red, watery eyes (conjunctivitis)

Subsequent symptoms
A red, blotchy rash typically appears 3 to 5 days after initial symptoms begin, usually starting on the face along the hairline and spreading downward to the rest of the body.

Village of Addison Notice of Public Hearing
A Public Hearing on Local Law #2, Regulating Stray, At-Large, and Nuisance Cats within the Village, will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 6:30 PM. The meeting will be held at the Addison Community Center, 13 Community Drive, at which time all interested persons shall be given the opportunity to be heard.

Public Notice-Village of Addison Board Meeting

The Village of Addison will hold its July Board Meeting on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 6:30 pm at the Addison Community Center.

During this meeting, the Village Board of Trustees will vote on whether to adopt the Final Proposed Dissolution Plan and set a date for a public referendum or to end the board-initiated Dissolution study.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend and observe the proceeding.

The Addison Volunteer Fire Department will open its doors as a cooling station for village residents in need today, Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Residents who need a cool place to escape the heat are welcome to stop by during these hours. Please share this information with friends, family, and neighbors who may benefit.
