This years event was so much fun! What a great turnout. I hope everyone had a great time. Thanks to all of our volunteers and staff for making this possible. And to all of our sponsors who allowed us to host such a great event. I’m not sure what next year will hold for me - but I hope I get to be back next year and see everyone. You guys are awesome!

Please join us again this year for Cops And Kids. A few new additions to look for! We will have a bounce house. An ice cream truck. And a chance to soak the Chief at the dunking booth. We look forward to seeing everyone this year !

Today will be my last official day as the full time police chief of this department. I am moving on to a position in the private sector that was too good to pass up. I want to thank the residents of this village for allowing me to serve as your chief. In police work- you’re not going to please everyone 100%, but I feel like I had the support and backing of the overwhelming majority of this town. That certainly made my job easier. I hope I left this place in a better place.

I would also like to thank village council and Mayor Mear for believing in me enough to allow me to run this agency as I saw fit for the most part. They have given this agency as much support as the could given the circumstances in which we are facing. For that I’ll always be thankful.

To my officers. You made my job easier. It wasn’t always smooth sailing but we got through most everything by supporting one another and coming together when times were tough. Lord knows we were never dealing with the resources we needed.

Also want to give a special thanks to Erin. Our police clerk and the village secretary. I might have been the Chief but everyone knows she kept that department running on a daily basis. I could not have done It without your help.

Lastly. I’m moving on from being the Chief of Addyston. I have been with the village for nearly four years. I came here to keep active in Law Enforcement. I stayed because I fell in love with this town. I truly mean It when I say this town has been very good to me. While I won’t be the Chief any longer - I hope to stay on in some capacity and keep involved in the community. That will be up to the new chief and their plans for the department. If nothing else I hope to see everyone at Cops and Kids this year. I promise It will be the best one yet. I wouldn’t miss It for anything. Thanks again to everyone

The police department was lucky enough to get another cruiser donated to our agency. We will be rolling out this unit in the coming weeks. Can’t wait to see this out on patrol ! Very sharp. !
