Adel Parks and Recreation is accepting applications for seasonal Park Maintenance.

Flexible day hours mowing city parks, cemeteries, and ball fields. (late-summer into Fall 2026). Hours to be determined based on applicant availability.

Must have a valid driver’s license. Pay is $17.00/hour and applications are open until position is filled.

🏓 NEW THIS FALL — 55+ COED ADULT PICKLEBALL LEAGUE! 🏓

Grab a partner and join us for our 55+ Coed Adult Pickleball League this fall!

Designed for players ages 55 and older, this league is a great opportunity to stay active, enjoy some friendly competition, and have fun on the courts. Games will be played on Saturday mornings, followed by an end-of-season tournament to wrap things up!

🏓 Season: September 12 – October 10 + Tournament
💲 Fee: $50 per team

Start your engines, little racers! The **5th Annual Adel Power Wheels Nationals** is coming to Kinnick-Feller Park on **Saturday, September 19th!**

This is a **completely FREE event** for kids ages **2-7**, and we’re gearing up for another fun-filled morning of racing! 🏆

🚙 **Bring your own Power Wheels** to race - OR, if you don’t have one, **no worries!** We’ll have Power Wheels available for kids to use.

🎉 **AND IT GETS EVEN BETTER!**
Once again, we’ll be giving away POWER WHEELS on race day! This year to honor our 5th Annual Race we will be giving away an additional 5 POWER WHEELS for a total of **30 POWERWHEELS**. Every child who registers will also receive a **FREE event T-shirt!** 👕🙌

A huge thank you to David and Kent McAdon for volunteering their time and talents at the Adel Parks & Recreation Archery Range this past weekend. They repaired the target frames and modified them to accommodate new targets, replacing those that were damaged by broadhead arrows last year.

The new targets and materials were provided by the Adel Parks & Recreation Department, while David and Kent generously donated their labor to ensure the range is ready for the upcoming hunting seasons and year-round recreational use.

We are incredibly grateful for community members like David and Kent who help keep our facilities in excellent condition. Adel truly has amazing volunteers!

LETS PLAY BALL!!!

Calling all Adel Park & Rec Little League Baseball Players!
Join the ADM Baseball Team Wednesday, May 27th,
at 5pm for special recognition before the game.

All Adel Park & Rec Little League players will receive complimentary entry to the Varsity Double Header at ADM Stadium. Be sure to wear your 2026 Jersey.

Players will have the opportunity to join the Tigers on the field for the National Anthem and team recognition.

Players and coaches will meet on the middle school softball outfield (field just west of the baseball field) by 4:30pm.
Players will be called onto the field at the start of the game by level- tball, rookies, minors, and majors. They will then line the fence line around the outfield for Varsity lineup and the National Anthem.

Players will then be dismissed to their families to enjoy the game. There are two games, 5pm and 7pm. We encourage everyone to stay and cheer the Tigers on to victory against Waukee Northwest.
