Iowa Democrats' Fall Gala on October 6, 2018 featured Sen. Cory Booker. Sen. Booker gave an inspiring positive speech. I was excited to meet up with Trent Schacht who was the organizer for Dallas County when I moved to Dallas County in 2011. Trent was thrilled that Dallas County has become so active.

THANKS to everyone who voted for me. I received 39% of the vote.

It has been a great campaign with many wonderful memories. I am so blessed with amazing family and friends to help me. I was proud to run along with our other Dallas County Democrats-Bryce Smith, Scott Heldt, and Andrew Barnes.

It has been humbling to have Advisory Committee members who have been faithfully attending our Thursday meetings for the past 4 months. I want to thank Connie Pieart-campaign manager, Jan Adams-volunteer coordinator, Dianna Baker Hoye-treasurer, and the rest of the Advisory Committee-Michael Adato, Gwen Harvey, Bob Ives, Mindy Knause, Pat Mitchell, Nancy Senn, Carol Sheehan, Jerry Tormey, Karen Wentzel, and Gary Weyer for their commitment.

Also, I appreciate others who have volunteered to help me win the Dallas County Supervisor election. The campaign had over $7,400 donations from 14 Dallas County communities as well as family and friends. We installed yard signs in all 16 towns in Dallas County.

I am proud of the campaign efforts that everyone made making phone calls, knocking doors, putting up yard signs, addressing and stuffing envelopes, attended Listening Posts, writing letters to the editor, and giving advice.

I am so grateful to my Democratic friends for their loyalty and confidence in me.
