🔥🚒 CONGRATULATIONS, FIRE CHIEF TRAVIS CHRISTIE! 🚒🔥

The City of Adel is proud to congratulate Travis Christie on his promotion to Fire Chief of the Adel Fire Department!

During today’s pinning ceremony, City Manager Mark Barber welcomed family, friends, fellow firefighters, city officials, and members of the community who gathered to celebrate this special occasion.

City Manager Barber spoke about the eight months Christie served as Acting Fire Chief, recognizing the hard work, dedication, and strong leadership he demonstrated during that time. He shared how Chief Christie leads his crew by example and works hard alongside them—qualities that have earned him the respect of those he serves with and prepared him to take on this important leadership role.

Mayor Buddy Duke also shared kind words about Chief Christie and congratulated him on this well-deserved promotion.

Chief Christie has dedicated nearly two decades to serving our community, beginning his career with the City of Adel on August 30, 2007. Today marks an exciting new chapter in that commitment to service. ❤️🚒

One of the most special moments of the ceremony came as Chief Christie’s wife, Elisabeth, had the honor of pinning his new Fire Chief badge. Their son Cooper and daughter Rayneslee proudly stood alongside them. Chief Christie’s parents and many other family members were also there to share in this milestone.

Chief Christie, thank you for your years of service, your dedication to your crew, and your commitment to protecting the citizens of Adel. We look forward to the continued leadership you will bring to the Adel Fire Department.
