**MOSQUITO SPRAYING**
The City of Adel is scheduled to conduct mosquito spraying on the evening of Thursday, September 2nd.
Weather permitting, spraying will begin between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. and is expected to take several hours to complete.
Please note that wind, rain, and temperature conditions may affect spraying operations, including whether the sprayer travels directly past a residence or treats the general area, as well as the frequency of spraying in a particular location.
Residents are encouraged to take any necessary precautions and plan accordingly. Updates will be provided if weather conditions require changes to the schedule.

City Hall will be closed on Monday, September 7th.

Utility payments can be put in either drop boxes located at City Hall or Adel Public Library (in alley).

🌱 Please Keep Grass Clippings Out of City Streets

We’ve recently noticed an increase in grass clippings being blown into City streets. Please remember that blowing grass clippings into the street is prohibited under Iowa Code §321.369 and City of Adel Code Chapter 135.03.

⚠️ Please note: Violations of these codes may result in penalties, including fines.

Grass clippings can clog storm sewer drains, potentially causing flooding and property damage. Help us keep our streets and storm drains clear by:

🌿 Leaving clippings on your own property, or
🗑️ Placing them in a separate container marked “Yard Waste” at the curb on Tuesdays for collection.
