Adelphi Senior Center Adelphi area seniors currently gather once a month on the 2nd Wednesday to share a meal.

We haven’t had a funded congregate meal site of the Ross County Senior Center here since COVID shut us down in 2020 & efforts to be reopened have been futile.

On January 12, 2026 the Ross County Township Trustees Association met with the Ross County Commissioners. The TWP Trustees asked me to read a statement they drafted, which I did. They urged the commissioners to give notice to the Ross County Committee for the Elderly to not renew their contract and pressed for a restructuring of the board that receives taxpayer dollars to serve the elderly of Ross County. I’ve provided pics of the news article that was shared with me of that meeting.
I know there are many who have been unhappy with or denied services, placed on waiting lists and/or know first hand of the issues that plague the Ross County Senior Center. NOW IS THE TIME to contact the commissioners office and talk with them. If you know something, say something.
We need a restructuring of the senior services in Ross County so the funding goes to where it is intended and services are provided to and help seniors across the entire county.

Our monthly senior carry-in luncheon will be Wednesday Feb.18th this month. It was pushed back a week due to our Angels at Logan Elm Healthcare dealing with illness. Doors open at 10:00 am and we eat around 11:30 am. BINGO after lunch.

P.S. Please say a little “wellness” prayer for the residents and staff at LE Healthcare. ❤️

I have been told so far that 3 seniors in our area received a phone call that their meals on wheels are ending as of December 1st. If you or someone you know received this phone call to cut the meal service, please respond and let us know so we are aware of whose service is being cut.

Very THANKFUL for Logan Elm Healthcare for their support of our monthly luncheon. They provided tableware, fried chicken from Corner Market in Chillicothe, mashed potatoes and gravy, and slaw. We had 38 attendees today at our luncheon that added to the buffet with rolls, pies, cakes and side dishes.

We were blessed with a performance from the Pickin’ Pair, Ray and Beth Vining. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us. And thanks to KNB for letting Beth come over today to perform.

To the new attendees today, we were so glad to meet you, and please come back again soon. Also to our regulars that were not able to be here, we missed you and hope you are well.
