Does anyone recognize this farm? There is no additional information on the postcard about the location aside from the words “Adena Ohio” on the front. Could it be Hawthorne’s on CR 10? We presume the house is no longer standing, but what a beautiful farmhouse it was! Richard Kanoski we believe you were the photographer, the back is stamped “Kanoski Portraits - Adena.”

For those who continue to spread the falsehood that the the corners are “sticking out” and that it is going to be “impossible for big trucks to make the turns,” this photo shows the reality. You can see the old curb line at the brick. The new curb line is the wooden form. It’s is about 6’ further back and the turn is significantly less sharp with a larger radius arc. This makes the square safer for pedestrians, vehicles, and easier to navigate for large trucks. Anyone saying otherwise is just plain wrong.
