Mental health is just as important as physical health. Whether you’re a first responder, a veteran, or a member of our community—you are not alone.

✔️ Check in on yourself
✔️ Reach out to someone you trust
✔️ Support one another
✔️ Don’t be afraid to ask for help

It’s okay to not be okay.

Together, we stand stronger. Together, we heal.
If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out. We are here. Always.

🚒💦 Training Never Stops! 💦🚒

Yesterday, the duty crew from the Short Creek Joint Fire District spent time at Friendship Park working on draft training using our new Engine 2211.

Drafting operations are a critical skill, especially in areas without hydrants. Training like this ensures our crews are ready to efficiently establish a water supply from ponds, lakes, and other static sources when seconds count.

Engine 2211 performed great, and our crew continues to sharpen their skills to better serve our community.

Proud of the dedication and teamwork shown every day — even on training days! 👏

📢 Attention Residents

Burn Ban Now in Effect
Effective today, March 1st, a statewide open burn ban is in place and will continue through May 31st as required by Ohio law to help reduce the risk of brush and wildland fires due to dry conditions this time of year.

🔥 Burn Ban Details:

• Open burning is prohibited daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. through May 31st.
• The ban includes brush, debris, rubbish, and other open flames that could start uncontrolled fires.
• Outdoor burning outside of these hours still carries fire risk — exercise extreme caution.

🚒 This ban is an important measure to protect our community, property, and first responders from preventable fires during a high-risk season.

Please adhere to all burn restrictions and contact Short Creek Joint Fire District if you have questions about safe burning practices or local ordinances.

Stay safe and thank you for your cooperation!
