We are so grateful for the Old Route 66 Association of Texas.
Over the last few years, we have watched this small volunteer organization grow and do some truly amazing things for our stretch of Route 66. Stephanie, Gary, and everyone involved with the Association pour their hearts into this road and the fact that they do it as volunteers makes it even more special.
We are thankful and honored to be one of the recipients of their first ever grant program. We know that is a big step for a small organization, and we truly appreciate the support.
This grant will help us replace the café sign on the wall out front, along with another little surprise project we think everyone will enjoy.
Thank you, Texas Old Route 66 Association, for everything you do to preserve, promote, and protect Route 66 in Texas and beyond.

The Old Route 66 Association of Texas is proud to announce the inaugural class of recipients for the Texas Route 66 Small Business Outdoor Beautification Matching Grant Program! 🎉

Five outstanding businesses along Historic Texas Route 66 have officially been awarded $500 Matching Grant Awards to support exterior improvements, beautification projects, signage, restoration efforts, and visitor experience enhancements along the Mother Road.

Huge shoutout to B.S. Press for knocking it out of the park once again! Check out these great new custom made mugs and brand new custom made metal signs now available in the gift shop at MidPoint Café & Route 66 Gift Shop.
We’ve also been busy making more progress on our remodeling plans so we can fit even more special gifts and treasures for you to discover when you stop at the MidPoint of Route 66.

This Memorial Day, we remember and honor the heroes who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage and sacrifice allow us to enjoy the freedoms we hold dear—including the simple joys of travel, community, and connection.

Another great article highlighting how the real life places and people along Route 66 helped inspire the Cars movies. ❤️
The MidPoint Cafe owes so much gratitude to Disney, John Lasseter, and the incredible Pixar team for what they have done for Route 66 through the Cars franchise. The movies introduced an entirely new generation to the magic, history, and spirit of the Mother Road.
We are especially proud that the MidPoint Cafe helped inspire Flo’s V8 Cafe, making our little stretch of Route 66 part of a story loved around the world. 🚗✨
It’s amazing to see how one road, filled with real people and real places, continues inspiring travelers of all ages generations later.

What a great day here in Adrian, Texas! Our neighbors DMS is having their 3rd Annual Car Show today and it is BUSY here at the MidPoint of Route 66! Classic cars, great people, lots of chrome and horsepower all up and down the Mother Road.
There’s still time to come on down and check it all out! Grab some great food at the MidPoint Cafe, enjoy the amazing lineup of cars, and soak up a little Route 66 fun while you’re here.

Bring your moms out to the MidPoint Cafe this Saturday for an early Mother’s Day celebration on Route 66! 🌸❤️ Come enjoy some great food, sweet memories, and a little MidPoint Magic along the Mother Road.
On Sunday, the cafe will be closed so our girls can spend the day with their families and enjoy a well-deserved day off.
We are sorry for any inconvenience to our travelers, and we are sorry if we miss you. Thank you for understanding and supporting our Route 66 family.

This is what makes being a business owner on Route 66 so special. The die-hard travelers know about the “Roadie family” all along the Mother Road—but the truth is, us business owners are family too.
We support each other, promote each other, and genuinely care about one another. We love welcoming travelers into our doors, and just as much, we love sending them down the road to experience the next great stop on Route 66.
We’re proud to call some incredible folks part of that family—Cindy and Tony at Jack Rabbit Trading Post, and Debbie Mejia at Road Kill Cafe. Amazing people, two iconic Route 66 destinations.
Gary was on his way out to Arizona and took them one of our new MidPoint Cafe signs, and they’re sending
one of theirs back—just another example of the connection and camaraderie that makes this road unlike any other.
So when you’re traveling through Arizona, be sure to stop in Joseph City and see Cindy and Tony at the Jack Rabbit trading post for some great souvenirs and the best prices for petrified wood we’ve ever seen in Arizona. Then roll on into Seligman and grab a great meal at the Road Kill Cafe.
That’s what Route 66 is all about—great people, great places, and memories made mile by mile.
And most of all… get your kicks on Route 66.
