Join us for Drug Take Back Day! Safely disposing of unused or expired medications can help to protect our community. Stop by on October 24 at ProMedica Hickman Hospital from 10am-2pm to drop off prescription and over-the-counter medications such as capsules, pills, tablets, or liquids. Sharps are also accepted! For safety, please make sure sharps are in a proper sharps container or a sturdy plastic bottle with a secure lid.

This training is proven to be effective in teaching adults how to recognize and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges. LCMHA will be closing at 2pm today for a building training and reopening Tuesday, September 29th at 8:30am. Crisis services will still be available by phone at 517-263-8905.

⚠️ EARLY CLOSURE NOTICE | SEPTEMBER 28

The Lenawee County Human Services Building, 1040 S. Winter Street in Adrian, will close at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 28, 2026, to allow staff to participate in important security training.

The early closure will affect offices and agencies located in the building, including:

• Secretary of State
• Lenawee County Health Department
• MSU Extension
• Lenawee County Department of Veterans Affairs
• Michigan Department of Health & Human Services
• Lenawee Department on Aging
• Michigan Works! Southeast
• Social Security Administration
• Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority

Regular business hours will resume Tuesday, September 29.

We appreciate your understanding as staff take part in this important training to strengthen safety and preparedness for those who work in and visit the Human Services Building.

LCMHA and over 1,500 others came together for the annual Walk a Mile Rally in Lansing on Wednesday to advocate for the public behavioral health system and the people it serves!

It was an incredible day of raising awareness, fighting stigma, and encouraging lawmakers to put people over profits.
