We had an incredible day today with the Adrian College soccer team! They got to experience water spraying and learned about our capabilities, including fire safety and CPR. Adrian City Local 1511 wishes them an exciting and successful season ahead!

Every dollar helps support the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s mission to fund groundbreaking research, provide life-changing care, and bring hope to families affected by neuromuscular diseases.

Recent studies have shown that firefighters are approximately twice as likely to develop ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) compared to the general population. Because of this, the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) and the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) are working together to better understand why firefighters face this increased risk and to help fund research aimed at finding answers—and ultimately a cure.
