As most of you are aware, severe weather is anticipated on Monday. We would like to remind everyone that if you lack shelter, the Advance Schools have a FEMA Building that is designed to serve as a Tornado Shelter.

National Volunteer Week April 19th-25th 2026 🇺🇸

Today we want to recognize and thank the dedicated volunteers of Advance Fire Department.

These men and women give their time, leave their families, and answer the call whenever our community needs them most. From emergencies and accidents to fire prevention and public service, they serve with courage, commitment, and heart.

Volunteer firefighters don’t do it for recognition—they do it because they care about their neighbors and community. We are proud to have such selfless individuals protecting and serving Advance.

Please join us in showing appreciation for all of our volunteer firefighters. Your sacrifice and dedication never go unnoticed. 🚒🔥

Last night, the Advance Fire Department responded to a reported gas leak. After investigation, it was determined to be a false alarm.

The home did have working detectors in place; however, one appeared to have malfunctioned. This serves as a good reminder that while detectors are essential, they should also be tested regularly and maintained to ensure they are functioning properly.

We always encourage having a variety of detectors in your home, including smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, as they play a critical role in keeping your family safe.

As always, it’s a pleasure to serve our community. We truly appreciate your continued support!
