Thank you to Cornatzer-Dulin Volunteer Fire Department and Davie County North Carolina Department of Transportation for their assistance this afternoon removing a large tree from the roadway on Williams Road. There was an extended closure due to a secondary tree, as seen in the photo, that was compromised by the initial tree and needed to be assessed by our friends at DOT. Our number one priority is to protect our citizens from unnecessary harm. We appreciate your patience and understanding. All DOT equipment is clear and the roadway has been reopened.

Hooked on summer fun! 🌊🚒 Today as Fire Life Safety Educators at Fork, we joined Infinity Elite Athletics for an end-of-summer splash — water safety tips, a giant signed colorful thank you sign, and the best part: everyone getting soaked (yes, even the firefighters!) From limbo under the hose line to freeze-dancing while water was raining down — pure joy. 💦✨ Thank you for allowing us to come join the fun!!!

Community partnerships in action: a sincere thank you to Advance Fire Department for bringing their aerial apparatus today — they helped our crew safely replace our flagpole rope and tidy up Old Glory. 🇺🇸🙌

Training together saves lives. Last night our members trained alongside Reeds Volunteer Fire Department and Davie County Rescue Squad— touring apparatus, comparing equipment, and running a full vehicle extrication evolution (windshield removal, doors, and roof removal). Working side-by-side let crews share techniques, certifications, and real-world tips that improve response on our shared stretch of Highway 64 and the Yadkin River. Huge thanks to Reeds FD for bringing their rescue apparatus across the river and to Davie County Rescue for sharing your knowledge, guidance, and letting us use your equipment. Opportunities like this strengthen partnerships and help ensure we’re ready when seconds count. 🚒💪

We would especially like to thank Joe's Towing and Wrecker Service for the donation of the vehicle used. Without your valuable partnership, this training would not have been a success. 🤝

What an incredible team effort! 💪🚒 On behalf of our department, a HUGE thank you to our volunteers, paid staff, board members, our Chief and Deputy Chief for their dedication in updating the engine bay. This facelift wasn’t a new station — it was community members working nights and weekends to make improvements come to life.

Special thanks to John Potts for his assistance and to Firefighter Joe Miller for bringing their knowledge and partnerships to the project. We’re also grateful to DCH Enterprises, Inc. and NexGen Builders for donating supplies, man-hours, and helping with patching ceiling tiles, filling blocks, and restoring walls after paneling and insulation removal.

A huge thank you to our friend Brad Pack, for coming by at a moments notice after we noticed a ceiling leak in the engine bay and making repairs so we can proceed with our project.
