Reminding all of our citizens to respect our Advance Fire Department while they are working emergencies, stay out of their way and do not run over the equipment. We appreciate the job they do for us and are very grateful to them for serving our community.

Advance Fire Department Incident Report

At approximately 7:38 p.m., the Advance Fire Department was dispatched to a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident with injuries.

Upon arrival, Advance Fire Department personnel assisted Stoddard County EMS with patient care and scene operations.

Emergency Vehicle Safety Reminder

We would also like to remind the public: Please do not block emergency vehicles or follow emergency vehicles to emergency scenes. Emergency personnel need clear and safe access to respond and operate effectively. Following emergency vehicles can create additional hazards and interfere with emergency operations.

We appreciate the assistance and cooperation of:

* Stoddard County EMS
* Missouri State Highway Patrol
* Stoddard County Sheriff’s Office

Please help keep our first responders and the public safe by giving emergency vehicles and emergency scenes plenty of room.

SIREN TESTING TODAY!!!

The Outdoor Warning Sirens in Advance, Bell City, Bloomfield, Dudley, Essex, Puxico, Hidden Trails Country Club, Chalk Bluff Cemetery, and the Missouri Veterans Cemetery will be tested at 10:00 am today, August 5, 2026.

In the event of an active firefighting emergency in or near these locations or a threat of Severe Weather at the time of the test, it will be postponed until a later date.
