🏠🎉 House Sorting Day is Tomorrow! 🎉🏠

Tomorrow, all new Afton Elementary students in grades 1–3 will take part in our House Sorting Ceremony and officially discover their House! ❤️💙💚🖤

⭐ Little Chiefs—wear your HOUSE COLORS tomorrow! ⭐
Our entire school will gather in the gym for the ceremony, and each House will get to welcome its newest members together! We can’t wait to see the House spirit fill the gym!

Our kindergarten students will have their special House Sorting Ceremony on September 18th.

To help students get excited and understand what being part of a House is all about, we’ve shared this book by Ron Clark Academy co-founder Kim Bearden. Feel free to watch it at home with your kids as we get ready for the big day!

Morning Drop-Off Safety Update 🏫

Beginning Monday, August 31, Afton Elementary’s regular visitor check-in procedure will also apply during morning drop-off from 7:25–7:55 a.m.

Students will continue using their regular entrances as usual. Parents, guardians, and visitors who would like to go beyond the main office will need to check in at the office, have their driver’s license scanned through Raptor, and wear a visitor badge.

LCSD2 Transportation has a new app for bussing. We are encouraging parents and guardians to sign up for the EZ Arrival app before the school year begins. Early registration will help families become familiar with the app and allow us to provide a smoother start to the school year. This app is taking the place of the previous app, Bus Quest.
