What a day! 🐾

Our Clear the Shelter event was filled with wagging tails, happy faces, delicious food, great coffee, and so many incredible people coming together for animals in need❤️

We had 8 adoptions (7 dogs 1 cat) which is huge for a small care center like ours. It was the perfect way to wrap up Clear the Shelter month!

Thank you to everyone who came out, adopted, donated, shared our post, or simply spent time with the animals. Every bit of support makes a difference—and every adoption gives a deserving pet the fresh start they’ve been waiting for. 🏡🐶🐱

We’re so grateful for this amazing community! Let’s keep spreading the word and helping more shelter pets find their forever homes. ✨

🐶Chase’s new Mom fell in love with him at first sight & was excited to surprise her kids with a new family member!

🐶Cleo nka Katana A5768901 was adopted by a Mal savvy family, word is she’s doing great!

🐶Diamond met her new Mama 2X, a perfect pup during both intros! But there’s more to this adoption story…🥹

The adopter told us she’d seen Diamond on social media noticing she’d been waiting for a family for months.

The adopter having grown up in foster care knew what it felt like to wait to be chosen, overlooked due to the color of her skin. Diamond’s story as an overlooked pittie because of the way she looked spoke straight to her heart.

She saw the sweet girl behind the label & knew she had to adopt her!❤️

Today, Diamond’s Mama is a successful private chef, we love she was inspired to change Diamond’s story—just as she changed her own.🥹

🐶Sir Charles A5747234 arrived at his rescue Crops and Flops & is fitting in beautifully with all the people and dogs he meets! Here’s to a new home soon!

Today, on National Nonprofit Day, we’re proud to celebrate Healthcare for Homeless Animals HHA a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit we have partnered with for 30 years in support of the animals at Agoura Animal Care Center. 💙🐾

Healthcare for Homeless Animals funds the medical and veterinary care our shelter animals need, from exams, diagnostics, and medications to surgeries, hospitalization, senior care, medical foster programs, specialty treatment, and so much more.

Every member of the Healthcare for Homeless Animals team is also an Agoura Animal Care Center volunteer. They are boots on the ground with our animals, helping coordinate medical needs, transporting animals to veterinary appointments, supporting recovery, advocating for them, spending time with them at the shelter, fostering and helping them find loving homes.
