The Aguilar fire dept will have a bake sale & coffee bright & early, with family activities & games including our wildly popular DUNK TANK! Come dunk the Chief or your favorite firefighter! We also upgraded our Firefighter Duck Prize Pond for the little ones, so stop by!

Lots of good food, fun games, friends, family & community! Come see why we all love Aguilar, Colorado!

Good Sunday Morning, All!

What. A. Month. I have to say, among all the heartbreak and tragedy Southern Colorado has had lately, theres been one shining light of hope in all of it. Its YOU.

YOU, all of YOU in our community! You've yet again, shown us the power of community! We have the most AMAZING community here in Aguilar & the foothills. The last few weeks have been insanely busy with firefighters out on several Colorado fires & several small incidents weve had locally.

Our community all on their own, from the Garcia Family, to the Morgan's, to Black Bear Ace to the Spanish Peaks Inn, Musso Farms in Pueblo to The Aguilar Mercantile, from Ringos, and beyond, and all of you in between, all came together this last couple months for a massive donations push to get us stocked up on critically needed water, hydration packs, gatorade, snacks and more!

More to come on all of that soon, and pics when we pick up, but weve already picked up several pallets of goodies and are picking up the big order this next week! Will let evertone know WHEN so the community can come pick up with us at Black Bear Ace, & see how all your donations get put to use!

But I wanted our community to know how incredibly thankful we are for all of you on this beautiful Sunday! Without your support, we cant do what we do. You keep us fueled & ready to fight fire. Its so much appreciated!

Happy Weekend, All!

Wanted to share something not so happy. Smoke. And lots of it blowing in, settling in our area. If you see fire (tonight if you see suspicious glows), plumes or active fire, be sure to let us know, but what were seeing currently is from the fires out west. We have a pretty active southwest, so take precautions if you have breathing issues or you work outside.

Stage 2 Fire Ban!

Important to please follow the guidance. This includes all fireworks.This applies to residents, businesses, visitors, campers, those staying, and those just passing thru. It applies to everyone in our district. If youre not sure, call us or send a message here on socials. We want everyone to have a safe & fun summer, so its important to follow this guidance, please, for all our safety. Thank you! SPVFD

Sorry for the last minute notification! Been a busy month of shoping, restocking, cooking, cleaning, dodging sick friends colds like an antibacterial ninja, and YES some actual firefighter & ems stuff thrown in. Think were all ready for winter break. Is it January yet?🥴

Anywho...Auxillary meeting is tonight 4pm Aguilar Station! Will be discussing finalizing Pancake Breakfast (June 6) plans, and well as Aguilar Days prep, budgets, updating the Auxilary phone tree, and station cleanup events. All are welcome! Come see how your donations are spent and join in discussions on future events!

Ill be at the station early for some station cleanup, and pantry inventory so ill be there about 2pm. But be warned...If you walk across freshly mopped floors in muddy boots, I WILL ABSOLUTELY take that as a hint that you want to join our merry band of sleep deprived smokesnarfers & put you to work.😁

Just a reminder folks, that today is going to be VERY windy, and we will be in tinder dry conditions till later in the week. Please be careful out there, remember we have burn bans right now, and the smallest thing can set it off.

Have fires across the State, and many firefighters from Colorado districts out of state helping with even bigger fires out east, where dozens of homes have already been lost on the Brantley Rd fire, caused by a person welding a gate & not being aware of the risks.
