The Ahmeek Village Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department is an IRS designated 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization.


******GAME CHANGERS******* The mission of this corporation is to protect lives and property in the Village of Ahmeek, the Village of Copper City and all other areas whereby assistance is requested, through mutual or automatic aid. This mission is accomplished by the provision of firefighting and rescue services, fire prevention activities and community collaboration.

We have requested grant funding for all of the equipment listed here. 🤞

Firefighters face a 14% greater risk of dying from cancer than the general population—making cancer prevention a critical part of firefighter health and safety.

On July 23, EHVFC Assistant Chief Craig Blake facilitated a well-attended, two-hour, hands-on training session for our career and volunteer members. The training focused on the proper use of station equipment designed to reduce exposure to harmful contaminants and help prevent occupational cancer.

EHVFC’s in-house cancer-prevention equipment includes:

• Turnout gear washer
• Stand-alone turnout gear dryer
• Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) washer
• SCBA cascade system and compressor

The session was extremely informative and provided valuable practical experience for everyone in attendance. Protecting those who protect our community remains one of EHVFC’s highest priorities!
