Pool keys will only be activated if your homeowner dues are current. Every home may have up to two pool keys activated at one time. You can purcahse new pool keys for $10 each from the Homeowners Association. Once you pool keys have been activated, a member of the HOA will contact you.

Local Holiday Events:

Christmas in the Backcountry will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Living History Park, 299 West Spring Grove Ave., North Augusta. Special guests will be Kessie the slave girl and St. Nicholas, who will pose for photos with visitors. Admission is free.

The Aiken Concert Band will perform its annual Christmas Concert at 8 p.m. on Nov. 27 at the Etherredge Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of USC Aiken. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for students; tickets are available at the Etherredge Center ticket counter or by phone at 641-3305.

The 42nd Annual Christmas Craft Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 30 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 1 at the H. Odell Weeks Activities Center, 1700 Whiskey Road. Admission and parking are free. For more information, call 642-7631.

The annual Downtown Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 30 at Laurens Street and Richland Avenue. The event will include live music, caroling, candle lighting and a special guest from the North Pole. For more information, call 642-7634.

The Windsor Christmas Parade will be held at 3 p.m. on Dec. 1 with a rain date of Dec. 2. A reception with hot chocolate and hot dogs will follow the parade, where prizes for best float and band will be awarded. To enter or for more information, call Laura Smith at (803) 257-5838.

The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department is seeking volunteers for a community volunteer day stringing lights for the 21st Annual Christmas in Hopelands display. Volunteers will work from 9 to 11 a.m. on Dec. 3 at Hopelands Gardens. For more information, call 642-7631.

Beta Sigma Phi sorority's 25th Annual North Augusta Christmas Tour of Homes will be held from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 7 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 8. For more information, call (706) 831-9624.

The Midland Valley Parade will be on Dec. 8. Line up starts at 1 p.m., and the parade starts at 3 p.m. Applications can be picked up at the Burnettown Town Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call 593-4907.
