Friends of the Aiken County Public Library The Friends of the Library is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, volunteer organization that supports the Aiken County Public Library.

We believe public libraries are an essential part of all communities. WE ADVOCATE for the Library and champion its needs with the community. WE SUPPORT the Library’s mission and programs. WE FUND many of the Library’s capital and operational needs.

Summer Reading starts May 21st! Everyone who reads at least 450 minutes between May 21 – August 1 will be entered into a gift card drawing at their library. Kids and teens can also pick up a prize.

Beginning May 21 pick up a paper reading log at your library or use abbe.beanstack.org to log your minutes.

There are so many events to participate in for Adults, Teens, Tweens, and Children. TURNING PAGES SC ADULT LITERACY PROGRAM - Turning Pages SC is a nonprofit that teaches adults to read through personalized, one-on-one tutoring, free of cost. Commitment is one hour per week until 24 sessions are complete. All books and supplies are provided and all tutoring sessions are held at the library.
