Lakeland Public Television recently interviewed Aitkin Municipal Airport Commission Chair and Aitkin County Commissioner – District 1, J. Mark Wedel, about the airport's successful award of a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Terminal Building Grant totaling $1.33 million.

❗ One important thing to know: Your ash tree does NOT need to be currently infested, damaged, or affected by Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) to qualify for this grant opportunity. The grant is focused on proactive removal of ash trees before they become hazardous, helping protect both public and private property throughout Aitkin.
