What a successful weekend for our 4-H'ers that represented Aitkin 4-H at the Livestock Encampment for the Minnesota State Fair! Check out the results of our Livestock Team! Also a HUGE thank you to our chaperones and parents that helped to create a positive experience for our youth!

Calling youth exhibitors! Come to the State Fair Livestock Exhibitor Get Together on Wednesday, August 26th from 2-3 p.m!

Why should you attend?
- Get to know other 4-H youth
- Review specific species information
- Walking tour of important locations
- Ask questions and learn from experienced 4-H exhibitors!

Open to all 4-H exhibitors but geared for:
- Three or less years of experience at State Fair
- Exhibitors showing a new species
- Exhibitors with small county delegations

Hosted by the 4-H Animal Science Ambassador Team. Location at the White tent between Christensen Pavilion & Como Avenue.

Another reminder regarding Northeast Livestock Show apparel orders. All t-shirt and sweatshirt orders will now be placed directly through the GLS Storefront. A credit card will be required at checkout. Items purchased will be available for pickup at the Northeast Livestock Show during check-in. The storefront is open for ordering until the registration deadline next Monday, August 24th.

Please share this message with families that have registered or are planning to register. Attached is a flyer that can be printed and made available at your local office or information table.

Hello Everyone!

As our summer is winding down we want to remind of a fun opportunity this coming Sunday, August 9th! The Pilots of Clear Lake Club is once again hosting 4-H families for the fun day at the Glen/Kimberly Town Hall

The details are as follows:
What: Aitkin County Family Fun Day & Pot Luck
Who: Any currently registered Aitkin County 4-H Families
Where: Kimberly Glen Town hall (32631 Dam Lake Street, Aitkin, MN 56431)
When: August 9, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM
What to bring: A dish to share if able, chairs to sit in, lawn games.

Pilots of Clear Lake will be providing hot dogs/buns!

Today is the last day of the fair! Be sure to check out the Central Minnesota Cattlemen’s Association youth beef show where many of our 4-H’ers are exhibiting their beef projects. Good luck 4-H’ers! 🍀

Day #3 has come and gone! Youth participated in the Master Showmanship event with a hedgehog as the mystery show animal! We then welcomed the community to the Blue Ribbon Auction and received the most amazing support for all 51 of the 4-H’ers that brought their projects into the arena. Special thank you to Double D’s for donating brats, to Reinhardt Auction for donating their auction services, to Shirts Plus for our auction banners, and to the community and volunteers who show up for our youth! We are so grateful for your support! After the auction, the day ended with celebrating our wall of champions and noticing the little things like the lights on the stuffed animal hotel made by one of our 4-H’ers🍀 💙
