Went for a picture taking car ride through Akin, Illinois, my home town yesterday afternoon. Much to my surprise I saw an elderly and a younger lady at a house I use to visit in my youth. I thought I would stop and talk with them for a minute. The older lady came forward and I asked her if Mrs Brown still lived there.
I was so pleased to hear her say I'm Mrs Brown. I reintroduced my self ( it had been over 50 years since we had seen each other).
I asked her about her family members, one daughter in Arkansas , one in North Carolina and her son Keith just down the road still living in Akin.
The visit was worth a million dollars to me. I told you all this to also tell you that if you have any memories you still wonder about fulfill them. I was so fortunate to see Mrs Brown! 03-09-2025
