We hope that everyone is getting through these difficult times. We would just like to take a minute to address a recent concern we have seen on emergency scenes. We have had numerous members of the public approaching members on emergency scenes concerned due to our first responders wearing masks. Please know that due to recent changes in our EMS protocols our first responders are required to put a mask on prior to getting on any of our trucks and responding to an emergency scene. Our first responders are not wearing them due to a patient having COVID-19, this is just a precaution to keep our members, their families, and our community safe. Thank you for taking the time to read this and feel free to share this information.

Huge thank you to those who were drivers (and passengers) for the Leisurewood parade today. My son (2 years old) has some issues with super loud noises (i.e. Sirens) and while the ambulance was coming by he was trying to be sweet to my boy and honk some kind of horn (or something) and I attempted to do some kind of hand gestures to ask him to stop for my sons sake and he smiled and stopped. I'm beyond impressed that he even knew what i was trying to ask. As he drove by I shouted a thank you he smiled and replied with a very sweet response. Thank you for your continued and daily bravery and the above and beyond service for the community by doing the parade. God bless.
